Piment d’Espelette is a label-labeled spice.
A sweet spice from the Basque Country, harvested from August to November, piment d’Espelette is carefully selected and harvested by hand, then naturally dried for a minimum of 15 days in the open air. It is then put in the oven for several hours and ground into a powder.
The Espelette pepper is an excellent substitute for pepper, it spices up your dishes. Long in the mouth, it sublimates the daily cooking as well as all the most delicate dishes.
It is a flavor enhancer that does not alter the flavors but reveals them, it is very slightly fruity.
Suggested use: This deliciously fragrant organic Espelette chili puree can be used as a mustard for meats, grilled meats, sauces or vinaigrettes.
Ingredients: organic Espelette pepper (89%), vinegar, water, salt.
